Background/Education:

Randy is a Florida native, born in Milton, Florida in 1969.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1990. Randy graduated from the University of Miami with a Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, in May 1993 and served on The University of Miami Law Review, Honor Society of the Bar and Gavel and Moot Court Board.  Randy graduated in the top 7% of his class and was awarded the Order of the Coif, a prestigious award for outstanding achievement in law school.  Randy received the Thomas Eadie Congressional Medal of Honor Award upon graduation from the United States Navy Officer Indoctrination School in Newport, Rhode Island for graduating first in his class and subsequently graduated third in his class from the Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island, both in 1993.

Experience:

Randy served on active duty in the United States Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps from 1993 through 1997.  In July 1997, Randy left active duty and joined a small firm in Winter Park, Florida where he was responsible for handling the firm’s estate planning and elder law issues.  In October 1999, Randy merged his practice with Peggy Hoyt and created Hoyt & Bryan, LLC in Oviedo, Florida and limits his practice to the areas of estate planning and elder law.

Designations:

Randy is one of only seven attorneys in the State of Florida who has earned the dual designation of Florida Bar Board Certification as an expert in Elder Law and Wills, Trusts and Estates.  He has also received the designation of Advanced Wealth-Strategist Planner by the Esperti Peterson Institute for Global Wealth Strategies Planning and Certified SunBridge Master Advisor by the SunBridge Advisor Network.  Randy is a Fellow of the Legacy Builder Institute, a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating families and communities how and why to preserve their heritage and perpetuate their legacy.

Personal:

Randy has been married to his wife, Laura, for 13 years, has a nine-year-old daughter, Brooke, a seven-year-old daughter, Cassidy, and a four-year-old son, Bradley.  Randy is still active in the United States Navy Reserve serving as a Commander in the JAG Corps.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family.
